Over the past three years, CenSe has been leading the development process for a new MSc in Service Management and Design. The new programme has now been approved and will accept its first intake in Autumn 2022.
The programme is based in the Edinburgh Futures Institute of the University of Edinburgh, combining a number of elements that makes it a unique and ground-breaking programme.
These elements are:
- A commitment to explore the interaction and linkages between service management and service design, rather than treating them as separate topics.
- An approach that looks across services in the public, private, and third sectors.
- An understanding that services are now evolving in a digital and virtual world, any programme needs to reflect this context and provide participants with key digital skills to succeed in this environment.
- A programme that is rooted in real-world experience and integrated by a project component that is designed by the student and runs throughout the length of the programme.
